Julie Barrios is a spiritual director and supervisor of spiritual directors at the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Talbot School of Theology. She also works in the Student Ministries Department doing pastoral care and spiritual direction at Mariners Church in Irvine, CA. She completed her MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology in 2005 and is currently in the Ignatian spiritual directors program at the Loyola Institute in Orange where she is specializing in Ignatian prayer.

Ellen Burany has recently moved from Southern California where she was working part time as a spiritual director and a supervisor of spiritual directors at a church in Orange County. She is currently serving full-time in a church in the Northern Virginia area as an Assistant Director of a young adult's ministry where she is excited to integrate spiritual formation into her ministry. Along with spiritual formation, Ellen's interests lie in spiritual direction, discipleship, developmental spirituality. Ellen received her Master's degree in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology.

Travis Collins is a practitioner of spiritual formation. He completed his Masters degree in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology December 2007. He currently is on staff with Church Resource Ministries (CRM) and provides spiritual direction and leadership development to church leaders around the world. Although Southern California is his primary area of residence and ministry, he spends considerable amounts of time in London throughout the year.

David, a graduate of Talbot School of Theology’s Spiritual Formation Program, has a heart to see people grow in their walk with the Lord as they realize more of who they are now and see who the Lord wants them to be. He has been a spiritual director in the north Orange County area since 2007. He and his wife, Jennifer, have been married since 2002 and both have a desire to work in the area of missionary care. David is the regional representative to churches for World Relief, a Christian relief and development ministry that empowers the local church to serve the most vulnerable.

Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Jenny is most passionate about creating space for people to listen to God within the context of daily life. Within our busy, chaotic days, we often think we don't have time to stop and spend time with God. However, he is always speaking, and it only takes a shift in perspective to learn to listen to him in the moments. She fulfills this passion through offering spiritual direction, individual and group retreats, as well as teaching on various topics in the area of spiritual formation and soul care. It also usually involves a lot of coffee. Jenny received her masters degree in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot Seminary. She works for Church Resource Ministries, an international organization dedicated to coming alongside Christian leaders as they continue to grow and develop in their life with God.

Stella Kim is a spiritual director and an assistant pastor for a singles group in a Korean church. She received her Master's degree in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology. Stella currently
works as the administrator at YNOT Foundation of Young Nak Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles. Born in Korea, Stella lived in Japan for 5 years when she was a teenager. She still misses her life in Japan every now and then, but she enjoys the diversity of Southern California. Stella speaks English, Korean and Japanese.

Michael Mathias has completed his Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Talbot School of Theology. He has been practicing spiritual direction for two years. He is open to providing individual and group spiritual direction, as well as retreat experiences for individuals and groups. He has particular interest in the prayer of recollection, Ignatian 19th Annotation, lectio divina, the history of spirituality, rule of life and fixed hour prayer. Please note that Michael only meets with men for spiritual direction.

Brooke (Maffia) Wang completed her MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology in 2005. Brooke has worked extensively with youth and children and has served in the local church for over seven years. Brooke and her husband Victor live in San Jose, California. Brian Willats is in his first year as a staff director at the Institute for Spiritual Formation. Originally from Nebraska, Brian, 46, moved to California in 2006 to begin his studies with the Institute of Spiritual Formation. He has a Masters of Divinity from Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI, and a Masters in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology. He currently works as an adjunct professor at Providence Christian College in Ontario, CA and as a worship coordinator at his church in Bellflower,CA.
